Tis the Season! Late Winter / Early Spring is NOT the prettiest time of year at the cemetery! Our grounds crew will be working tirelessly now that the snow has FINALLY melted! We will be leveling out areas that are uneven due to freezing/thawing, ground settling, plowing, etc.. Soon the fresh grass seed will be put down and the Spring Sun will be shining upon us! Azaleas will be in bloom, as well as our gorgeous magnolia in front of the office! We appreciate your patience as we spruce up the place for the coming nice weather!

The weekend of April 25-26 is national Love your Cemetery weekend! Volunteers, friends and families are invited to visit their local cemeteries and spend some time caring for graves, headstones, etc…
For anyone who would like to participate, in front of the office, we will have some:
Bottled waters
Containers to carry water for plantings/cleanings
Brushes
Cleanser
Additional American Flags
Of course, if you need anything, just give a call, we are here for you!

Just an hour from Manhattan, Hillside Cemetery is located in the hills of northern Westchester County. Hillside has served as the final resting place for people from all walks of life for nearly two centuries.
Hillside is a non-sectarian cemetery governed by the laws of the State of New York. We offer traditional burial as well as mausoleum crypts. Those choosing cremation have the choice of mausoleum niches or cremation graves. One of our staff will be happy to meet with you to walk the grounds, explore these options, and answer questions you may have.
Recent legislation in New York State now permits pet owners to bury the cremated remains of their pet animals with them. We recognize the importance of pets to their owners, and we are pleased to now be able to offer this service.
Visitors are welcome from Dawn to Dusk
Please note that balloons are not permitted in the cemetery
